10/10! Perfect hotel.
My mom, aunt and I stayed at La Mandorla for our entire stay in Ischia for 10 days. We absolutely loved it. It fully met our needs, which were to be close to the beach (you are literally located less than 2 minutes away by foot and have free beach chairs and umbrellas), have breakfast included, wifi and air conditioning. Plus, we had a beautiful balcony with a view on the pool and lounge area and on the beach.
The breakfast is so delicious and very complete. It quickly became one of our favourite moments of the day. Delicious food, amazing coffee, great service, perfect view. Amazing!
Besides the great amenities, Giovanni, Marco and Antonio were so helpful and quick to help for anything we needed. Salvatore and the lady whom unfortunately we did not catch the name of were also extremely pleasant, always greeting us with a smile and a fantastic mood, plus impeccable service. They always remembered our coffee order. The attention to detail in this hotel is immaculate. Also, the cleanliness is pristine. Everything is so well-kept! Rooms are redone daily and they always look brand new and smell so fresh. There is also a bar that has anything you might need.
Just one note however, for the area in general: keep in mind that Maronti beach is an absolutely breathtaking beach area, but it is somewhat secluded from shops and restaurants that have a more varied menu than seafood. For example, if you want a gelato shop, you have to take a bus (I recommend Trani in Ischia Ponte, for which you can take the bus number 5). So if you are looking for a very busy nightlife, this area may not be for you. If you want to relax and disconnect and sleep soundly, this will be PARADISE. Also, it is very family friendly.
Lastly, I love going for runs and exercising, and I must say I missed this during my stay. Please note that this is not a runner-friendly area and there is no gym, so you have to go out of your way for that or just skip some days. I also was here in July, the hottest month, so maybe in September or during cooler months I would feel differently as there are many trekking options and hikes to do on the island around Maronti. Great hotel nonetheless!!
Grazie a tutti!
Hotel La Mandorla is 2 minutes from Maronti Beach and 2 minutes from the bus stop to Ischia Porto. The sea view and a balcony with a table and chairs were a great surprise in a double room for single use. And there was also a great room feature - a ceiling fan you can turn on/off to make a room a bit cooler and with more air. I was not using A/C at all. The hotel's surroundings is quiet; you might only hear waves at night. The bathroom has a window which provides the room with more natural light and air, and I also loved high water pressure in the shower!
La Mandorla offers a combined continental and American breakfast (eggs, fruits and fresh juices included). I loved their long espresso in a big cup. The service at breakfast is quick, polite and friendly. And the whole staff at the hotel makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. To name a few - Antonio, Giovanni, Marco, Salvatore were always there to respond to all my requests. I cannot thank them enough for helping me when I got sick, and particularly in a situation when I lost my mobile phone in a taxi which was recovered in a couple of hours. They get the right balance between professional service and friendliness so you will get the best of both. If I can, I would give 6-star rating for my stay in La Mandorla.
The hotel is a 3-stars hotel in a awesome location: the Maronti's beach. This means you're staying in one of the best beach of ischia island on budget.
Rooms are OK size, not too big, not too small, clean and simply furnished. TV has few channels, but since the customers comes from different countries you can watch programs in English and German.
The personnel is great, helpful and funny. The hotel is basically family run, and you can really appreciate it.
Food is a nice surprise, they serve only dinner (at least at this time of the year) and despite the initial shock of the fixed menu, you can try simple and really good food: no fancy things, only real and natural ingredients.
Breakfast is also abundant and nice.
The only downside is that if you use to travel through the island using the local bus, prepare to invest some time waiting for the bus, because of the traffic, anyway the bus stop is 50m from the hotel.
At the end, great budget hotel.
Really liked this place. Good people always give good service. The thermal sauna is wonderful. The swimming pool is small but adequate. Hotel is beside sea. Would come back here again. Only 15-20 mins from Ischia Port too!
Incredible family run hotel in Ischia. Friendly service with hotel 50 meters.from the sea with private beach. Amazing place!
Three or four pools with real geothermal hot spring water of various temps. Child pools also and nice calm location.
Great value for money, good food, close to the beach, nice staff, and thermal pools
Fantastic
